Performance without compromise.
SURGE was born from a simple objective: to make International One Metre racing more accessible, whether for club sailors discovering the class or experienced competitors racing at championship level. Entirely designed and developed in France, every SURGE Yacht is the result of a complete engineering approach where every component has been considered as part of a single performance package. Hull geometry, sail plan, spreaders, keel, bulb and appendages... have all been developed together to achieve the best possible balance on the water. The project has been developed using the latest naval architecture and engineering tools, combining Computational Hydrodynamics, Computational Aerodynamics and hundreds of design iterations. Every modification has been evaluated, refined and integrated into the overall design to optimise speed, balance, control and efficiency rather than focusing on a single parameter. Construction follows the highest composite manufacturing standards using premium epoxy and glass fibre laminates, providing excellent dimensional stability, long-term durability and an optimised structural weight. Every technical decision has been driven by one philosophy: delivering a reliable, competitive racing yacht engineered to perform season after season.
The start line is getting closer.
The engineering phase has been completed and the project is now entering its final development stage. Production tooling is currently being finalised in France. The first complete floating hull is scheduled for early August and will be used to validate the tooling and manufacturing process. A second fully equipped floating platform, complete with rigging and racing hardware, is planned for completion no later than early September. This yacht will begin the on-water performance validation programme, confirming that the engineering work delivers the expected results under real racing conditions.
